CoolText.ME ("we," "our," or "us") operates the free text and image generator at cooltext.me. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how cookies are used, and the choices you have, including the choices that apply to advertising served by Google.

- Text input: we do NOT store or transmit the text you type. All text conversion and image rendering happens inside your browser.
- Email: only when you choose to contact us by email. We keep the message only for as long as needed to answer it.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Server log data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and requested URL, kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
- Local preferences: your theme (light or dark) and your cookie choice are stored in your browser's local storage, never on our servers.
- Advertising data: when you consent, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies and collect data as described in section 5.
- Aggregated statistics: anonymous, aggregate page-view counts. These numbers cannot be used to identify you.

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share your text input with anyone, because it never leaves your browser. Data is shared only with our hosting provider (for logs and delivery) and with Google (for advertising as described above).
7. Data Retention
Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted or anonymised. Emails you send us are kept until the request is resolved. Preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear them or change them.
8. Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the codebase and dependencies up to date. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but because we do not store your text input there is very little personal data at risk on our side.
9. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Object to or restrict processing
- Withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be answered immediately. Send them to the address in section 12.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the site or the law changes. The new version is posted on this page with an updated date, and material changes are announced on the home page.
